France and Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been charged with drink-driving after being stopped by police in west London on Friday, August 24.

The 31-year-old World Cup winner spent seven hours in custody at Charing Cross police station before he was released on bail according to the report by UK Sun.

Hugo Lloris was arrested by the police in London at 2am after failing a roadside breathalyser test and will appear at Westminster magistrates' court on September 11.

He was later taken to the station where his mug shot, fingerprints, and a DNA swab were taken before he was banged up in a cell.

After winning their first two Premier League games this season, Tottenham are preparing for their next EPL tie against Manchester United on Monday, August 27.

Hugo Lloris has been playing for Tottenham since 2012 when he joined from Lyon and has made 256 appearances for the Premier League side.

Fire kills five siblings locked inside room by parent

Five children left at home alone and locked in by their parents were killed in a fire in a slum at a district of the Philippine capital on Monday, firefighters said. The victims, four boys and one girl, aged between 1 and 12 years old suffered burns and suffocation, said fire marshall Jones Silvano. An initial investigation showed that the fire began in the victims’ three-storey house in the Tondo district of Manila.
